Your audio
Audio files you open or record are read into memory in your browser tab and processed there. They are not uploaded, transmitted or stored on any server operated by MusicCutter. The site has no upload endpoint and its Content Security Policy only allows network connections back to this site's own static files.
Stored on your device
- An autosaved edit list (clip positions, effect settings, file names and sizes — not audio) in IndexedDB, so you can restore a session.
- Your theme choice in localStorage.
- Cached copies of the app's own files (service worker) for offline use.
Delete all of it from the editor: Project tab, Delete local data. Clearing site data in your browser settings also removes it.
Microphone
The microphone is accessed only after you press Allow microphone and approve the browser prompt. Recordings stay in the tab until you export them.
Analytics and advertising
The site currently runs no analytics. If advertising is enabled in future, ads will be served by Google AdSense in clearly marked areas outside the editor, subject to a consent prompt where the law requires one; ad scripts never receive your audio, file names or edit data. This page will be updated before that happens.
